Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has rejected talk of a move to Manchester United by claiming his happiness at the Bundesliga club.

Manchester United reported interest in replace Radamel Falcao with Robert Lewandowski have hit a standstill after the Polish striker said he was happy in Germany.

Colombian striker Falcao arrived on a two-year loan deal from Ligue 1 side Monaco last summer but his time at United has been largely unimpressive with criticism coming from pundits close to the English game, fans of United and boss Louis van Gaal.

United were expected to complete a permanent move for the former Atletico Madrid striker this coming summer but it is now widely expected that Falcao will be sent back to Monaco.

A number of transfer targets have since emerged with boss Van Gaal keen to pursue Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani, however, it is now being reported that he could raid his former club and make a move for Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.

The former Dortmund striker has found consistency hard to find this season but he has still managed to bag 11 goals this season for the Bundesliga leaders.

However, his comments to the club’s official website claim he is happy at the Allianz Arena.

“I come from Warsaw which is also a big, beautiful city with plenty of sights and attractions, just like Munich. We’re very settled here,” he said.
