Manchester United are closing in on the signing of former Manchester City defender Stefan Savic, according to Sport.
The Montenegrin defender has been in good form this season for Fiorentina and has gained interest from a number of top European clubs, including Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain, whilst United boss Louis van Gaal is a keen admirer of the 24-year-old.
Savic joined the Italian side from Man City in 2012 after failing to establish himself, making just 11 league appearances for the current Premier League champions.
United scouts are said to be impressed with Savic this season and it is reported that talks over a deal have already started.
It is believed that the transfer was nearly completed in January but a deal worth £14.6m is now on the table.
