Paris Saint Germain boss Laurent Blanc has discussed interest received from a number of clubs for Brazilian defender Marquinhos but insisted the youngster would not be leaving this summer.

The Brazilian centre-back has been strongly linked with a move away from the Parisien club after the arrival for David Luiz, who completed his £50m move earlier this summer.

Manchester United have been credited with interest, whilst many reports had stated that Barcelona had agreed personal terms with the former Roma defender.

Marquinhos, who has not gone to the World Cup with his country looks likely to play behind Luiz and captain Thiago Silva next season, meaning he is likely to play less football than last season.

But, PSG boss Blanc has reiterated that the 20-year-old will not be leaving the Ligue champions.

“Marquinhos isn’t going anywhere, that’s for sure,” Blanc told local French radio.

“I’m planning to keep almost everybody. We lost some guys already, but the core will remain the same for next season, we’ll possibly make little changes, but nothing big.”

Meanwhile, the defender himself has remained coy on his future, claiming that he is unsure what the future holds but will stay at PSG until he his told otherwise.

“My future will be decided by PSG, because I am under contract here,” he told Telefoot. “I am staying so far. There is nothing official. For now I am a PSG player.”
