Manchester United will move for Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski as they seek to replace Radamel Falcao this summer, according to Daily Express.

Colombian striker Falcao arrived on a two-year loan deal from Ligue 1 side Monaco last summer but his time at United has been largely unimpressive with criticism coming from pundits close to the English game, fans of United and boss Louis van Gaal.

United were expected to complete a permanent move for the former Atletico Madrid striker this coming summer but it is now widely expected that Falcao will be sent back to Monaco.

A number of transfer targets have since emerged with boss Van Gaal keen to pursue Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani, however, it is now being reported that he could raid his former club and make a move for Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.

The former Dortmund striker has found consistency hard to find this season but he has still managed to bag 11 goals this season for the Bundesliga leaders.

Bayern boss Pep Guardiola is considered to be open to the thought of selling Lewandowski and a £30m fee has been reported.

#United fans, tell us who you would like to see at the club next year, or would you like Falcao to stay?
