Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has claimed that the Colombian will sign for one of the world’s best clubs if he leaves Manchester United this summer.

The former Atletico Madrid striker joined United from Monaco on a season-long loan last summer and came with a buying option in the deal, however, boss Louis van Gaal is yet to decide on his future after seeing the Colombian fail to produce good form.

However, his agent, Vasilyev has talked up the ability of the 29-year-old and claimed that he will move to a ‘great club’ in the summer.

Vasilyev told BBC Sport: “I’m not worried for Falcao, he is a world class striker.”

He added: “If Manchester United decide not take up the option at the end of the season, we have interest from other great clubs. So I am really not worried for him at all.”

Falcao cost Monaco £52m from Atletico Madrid in 2013.
