Paris Saint Germain boss Laurent Blanc believes his side ‘crushed’ Chelsea in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 match on Tuesday evening.
The Ligue 1 side fell behind to Branislav Ivanovic’s header on Tuesday night but came back fighting strong to level the tie through Edinson Cavani.
The home side had plenty of chances to score again but were denied by Thibaut Courtois, however, Blanc believes his side dominated the game.
“We were better than Chelsea in all areas on Tuesday, so I am disappointed with the final score,” the coach told reporters on Friday.
“I’m not saying that we are better than Chelsea, but in that game, Paris were on top.
“We are now trying to prepare ourselves properly in order to try to win the tactical battle in the second leg.
“However, just as we crushed them in the first leg, they might well crush us in the return!”
