Palermo forward Paulo Dybala is pushing through talks with Chelsea after speaking to Arsenal officials last week.
The Argentine youngster has been in superb form this season and has attracted interest from a number of top European clubs.
Dybala, who has been likened to Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero in recent weeks has been tipped to leave the Italian club this summer, with his relationship to president Zamperini having deteriorated.
Whilst, Arsenal have held a long term interest, Italian sides Napoli and Juventus, plus Barcelona and Manchester United have been linked.
Officials of Arsenal and Palermo met last Friday morning to discuss the terms over a deal and although reports claimed that a deal worth £29.5m will be reached with the personal terms left to agree; it has now emerged that Chelsea are also in the race, with Dybala having instructed his agent to arrange a meeting with Jose Mourinho’s side.
