Chelsea have confirmed that three supporters have been suspended from attending Stamford Bridge for the remainder of the season, following a racial incident in Paris on Tuesday.

The three individuals, who have not yet been named, could face further action as the club’s investigation into the incident continues.

The incident occurred just moments before Chelsea’s Champions League tie with PSG on Tuesday and video footage saw a number of Blues fans shoving a black man and chanting racial comments at him.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “If it is deemed there is sufficient evidence of their involvement in the incident, the club will issue banning orders for life.

“We have received substantial information to date following our witness appeal and we are grateful to the many Chelsea supporters who have provided information so far.”
