Arsenal are ready to sign Lyon star Maxime Gonalons after holding a long term interest in the Frenchman.
Gonalons has impressed at a high level for Ligue 1 side Lyon over recent seasons and has been heavily scouted by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is a keen admirer of his talents.
And, it is now being reported that Wenger has personally requested his signature this coming summer.
The midfielder is fully expected to leave Lyon this summer after citing a desire to play for a bigger club and force his way back into Champions League football.
Gonalons, who is rated at £14.8million, is also a target for Spurs and Napoli.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also interested in signing Marseille forward Andre Pierre Gignac, who is available on a free transfer this summer.
