Man United line up Walker swoop

Manchester United are planning a summer move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker, according to Daily Mirror.

United boss Louis van Gaal has made signing a new right back his biggest priority at the end of the season, having been forced to use Antonio Valencia in that position for most of the season.

The likes of Barcelona’s Dani Alves and Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne have been linked with a move to Old Trafford but it is now being reported that England international Walker is heavily tipped for a move.

United officials are said to have already made enquiries about Walker’s situation at White Hart Lane and are confident they can sign the defender.

Walker, has been in outstanding form since returning from an abdominal injury which saw him miss last summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.

The 24-year-old has four years remaining on his current deal in North London and is currently earning £50,000 per week.
