West Ham have confirmed that former Paris Saint Germain forward Nene has joined the club on a free transfer.
West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis had been close to signing the Brazilian earlier this week after he became a free agent, leaving Qatari club Al Gharafa in January.
However, the Hammers hijacked the move and have now confirmed his arrival at Upton Park.
Son of co-owner David Sullivan, Jack, tweeted the news via Twitter and posted a picture of the former PSG star signing his new contract at the club.
The deal will see the forward stay until the summer, with an option to extend his contract by a year.
The Brazilian could be available to face Tottenham this coming Sunday.
