PSG tell Arsenal: Bid £50m for Cavani and he is yours!

Paris Saint Germain have told Arsenal that they can sign Edinson Cavani, if they pay his £50m asking price, according to Canal+.

Cavani, who is widely tipped to replace Radamel Falcao at Manchester United next season has emerged as a transfer target for Arsene Wenger, with the French boss a keen admirer of his performances for PSG and the Uruguayan national side.

The 28-year-old has struggled to adapt to life with the Parisien side, having battled with the clubs owners and boss Laurent Blanc over his role at the club and preferred position.

PSG paid the same fee for Cavani to Napoli in 2013 and are confident that they can recoup the money they dished out back then.

The report goes on to add that the striker’s representatives have put out early contact with several Premier League clubs, including Man United and Arsenal.

However, it is understood that Spanish giants Real Madrid have rebuffed a potential move.
