The Argentine forward has been a shadow of his form at Real Madrid last season, having struggled to break the language barrier, settle in Manchester and find his feet in Louis van Gaal’s side.

A source close to the club told us: “Angel was key for Real Madrid last season, his performances were of the highest class, but lets face it……at United, he has been a flop.
“PSG are keen to sign him, as they were last summer and they would be keen to discuss a potential swap for Edinson Cavani.”
