Liverpool beat Palace to progress in FA Cup

Liverpool came from behind to beat Crystal Palace in the FA Cup 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

The seven-time winners were behind at the break after a goal from Frazier Campbell.

The former Cardiff City striker took full advantage of a Dwight Gayle cross which troubled Simon Mignolet.

Liverpool almost levelled through Adam Lallana, who fired towards goal but Palace keeper Julian Speroni was in good form to deny the English midfielder.

Brazilian Coutinho was next to come close for the visitors, who were beginning to dominate as the half time interval approached.

Brendan Rodgers’ side did get back on level terms after the break through Daniel Sturridge, who volleyed home from close range.

And, the Merseyside club scored a winner through Lallana, who took advantage after Mario Balotelli’s free-kick was too hot to handle for Speroni.
