Mancini welcomes Yaya Toure to Inter Milan reports

Roberto Mancini has welcomed reports linking Inter Milan with a summer move for Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure.

Former Man City boss Mancini has been vocal with his interest in the Ivory Coast international since arriving at San Siro and he believes that Toure would bring an added quality to the Nerezzurri, whilst it will also provide a boost to Italian football in general.

“We hope to be back there [at the top] and Yaya Toure is a great player,” Mancini told reporters. “If we managed to sign him, it would be great for all of Italian football, just as it would if any Serie A side bought a champion.”

Mancini then discussed the attitude of Chelsea target Mauro Icardi, who failed to celebrate his brace against Palermo last weekend.

“He seems very relaxed and he’s not the kind of guy who gets upset about things,” Mancini explained. “I don’t mind him not celebrating if he scores twice every game!

“I personally think celebrating is wonderful for a player but it doesn’t matter to me.”
