Manchester United have rejected a £13 million bid from Real Madrid for goalkeeper David de Gea, Football Express News understands.
The Spanish international, pictured with Real Madrid keeper Iker Casillas, has been increasingly linked with a move to the Spanish capital to replace his national team-mate.
Talks of a proposed summer move have been frequent in both English and Spanish press with terms over a personal agreement said to have been agreed.
Tension is rising between United officials and the Spanish stopper and it is now understood that the former is ready to hand in a transfer request to force through his move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
United officials did offer the keeper a new and improved deal to remain at Old Trafford but it is understood that the former Atletico Madrid stopper rejected a lucrative offer.
Madrid believe he should be allowed to leave at a smaller price of £13m but an initial bid of that amount has now been rejected by the English club.
