QPR have dismissed reports of a brawl after Steven Caulker went to hospital for a head injury on Sunday.
The former Cardiff City defender was in attendance as he and team-mates enjoyed Sunday lunch together at an event on Sunday, but required medical treatment for a cut to the head, following on from reports that he was involved in a bust-up with Crystal Palace players.
However, QPR have since released a statement regarding the 22-year-old and the incident.
“Following Saturday’s Premier League win versus Burnley, and with no further fixture for nine days, the club can confirm players were allowed to have a Sunday lunch together,” it read.
“Steven Caulker was not involved in an altercation.
“He did suffer a cut to his head, which he received treatment for at hospital before being discharged on the same evening.”
