Alexis Sanchez inspired Arsenal to a superb 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund to secure Champions League knockout qualification.
The Gunners got off to a superb start in the game when Santi Cazorla played in French striker Yaya Sanogo, who scored his first professional goal for the club, beating Roman Weidenfeller from a tight angle.
Sanogo should of then doubled the lead moments later but his effort was ruled out for offside after Aaron Ramsey has played the youngster in on goal.
The visitors almost got back on level terms when Lukasz Piszczek burst down the right and hit a superb cross to Ciro Immobile, but the Italian was unable to direct his effort goalwards.
The second half saw Alexis Sanchez inspire the home side to all three points as the Chilean winger fired a low effort past Weidenfeller to make it 2-0.
The former Barcelona man would then dictate Arsenal’s forward play and he played an important part in helping the English side hold on for all three points.
