Reports of a banner in protest of Brendan Rodgers’ current management of Liverpool to be flown over Anfield have surfaced this week.
A Liverpool fans group are planning a fly over banner demanding the sacking of manager Brendan Rodgers this weekend against Chelsea in the Premier League.
According to the Twitter account @RodgersOutClub, a minority of fans are planning to fly a plane over Anfield with a banner calling for the former Swansea boss’ head.
The Twitter account also tweeted: “Brendan Rodgers is football genius. Forever in love with Southampton & Swansea’s footballers. £215m spent on absolute rubbish. #RodgersOut.”
The protest will follow a dismal start to the new league season which has seen Liverpool struggle to find their form, culminated by a strange starting eleven which started the Champions League game with Real Madrid on Tuesday.
