Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks with former Chelsea midfielder Lassana Diarra.
Diarra is a free agent having left Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow earlier this year and has been on the lookout for a new club ever since, having returned to live in his native France.
Reports linking the former Real Madrid man with a move to a number of Premier League clubs have been heard, however, Spurs are now ready to make a solid move after holding advanced talks with the midfielder.
The 29-year-old, who played for Spurs’ main rivals Arsenal is reportedly excited at a return to England and that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add the midfielder.
Some reports claim that Diarra’s move would not be likely as Spurs have a big squad, but Pochettino is willing to sell a number of second string players in January.
