England manager Thomas Tuchel threw the ceremonial first pitch at Kauffman Stadium, home of baseball team Kansas City Royals, as his squad enjoyed a well-earned rest day.
Tuchel was joined at the stadium by captain Harry Kane and defenders Dan Burn and Djed Spence, just over 24 hours after England beat Croatia 4-2 in Dallas.
Kane, who scored twice in the opening Group L victory, took to social media to share his enjoyment of the day out with his teammates.
“Great recovery day with the boys at the baseball,” the Bayern Munich forward wrote on social media.
“Would love to give batting a go one day! Thanks for having us @Royals,” he added.
Kane played the full 90 minutes against Croatia and was not involved in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Sporting KC held for squad members requiring additional game time.
England ran out emphatic 5-1 winners over the Major League Soccer side in a practice match on Thursday, with Ivan Toney and Morgan Rogers among the scorers.
Toney was the standout performer, scoring a hat-trick, while Aston Villa duo Rogers and Ollie Watkins also got on the scoresheet at England’s Swope Soccer Village training facility.
The match featured players unused against Croatia and those who had not played significant minutes in Dallas, with the game split into two halves of around 25 minutes each.
Burn, Jordan Henderson, Eberechi Eze, Marc Guehi, Kobbie Mainoo, Djed Spence and Jarell Quansah were among those involved in the training fixture.
BBC Sport had revealed on Tuesday that the Football Association arranged the friendly specifically to ensure certain players maintained their match sharpness during the tournament.
England arrived back from Dallas at around 10.30pm local time on Wednesday, meaning the players were afforded the majority of Thursday as free time to rest and recover.
Players were permitted to see family and friends following the Croatia match, with loved ones also granted access into the camp on Thursday for further quality time together.
The squad will now begin preparing for their next Group L fixture against Ghana in Boston, which kicks off at 21:00 BST on Tuesday.
