Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is trying to tempt Yaya Toure into scrapping his pre-contract with Inter Milan, Football Express News understands.
The Ivory Coast international has been a key figure in City’s recent successes since joining them from Catalan giants Barcelona, but came close to departing the club last summer after reportedly being unhappy following a number of off-field incidents.
Toure, has once again been linked with an exit after further claims he is unhappy at the Etihad stadium and Italian side Inter have made significant moves to complete a deal.
The Italian side are willing to sell a number of players this summer in a bid to recoup funds to sign the former Barcelona man and stay within FIFA’s Financial Fairplay guidelines.
Whilst, reports claim that that Toure has taken a big wage cut to link up with former City boss Roberto Mancini at the San Siro, Chelsea boss Mourinho believes he can tempt the midfielder to remain in England.
Mourinho is a keen admirer of the former Barca star and believes he can add an added desire to the Blues midfield.
