Manchester United have agreed a £17m fee for Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne, according to Daily Mirror journalist David McDonnell.

United have been linked with a summer deal for Clyne, who has commented saying he is happy with a move to allow him to play Champions League football.

And during speculation over a deal, Daily Mirror reporter David McDonnell has told MUTV that a transfer deal has already been agreed to.

He told the club’s official TV channel that everything had been sorted for Clyne to join Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, and given his record of United exclusives, he’s probably right.

Manchester United are currently third in the Barclays Premier League having accumulated 65 points, one point behind Arsenal in second.
