Javier Zanetti has claimed that Inter Milan will do all it takes to sign Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure this summer.
The Ivory Coast international has been a key figure in City’s recent successes since joining them from Catalan giants Barcelona, but came close to departing the club last summer after reportedly being unhappy following a number of off-field incidents.
Toure, who is currently on international duty with his country at the Africa Cup of Nations; has once again been linked with an exit after further claims he is unhappy at the Etihad stadium.
Zanetti, Inter’s vice-president, is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: “[Toure] is a world-class player. We are talking about a great champion who Mancini knows well.
“We must respect certain parameters but we will do everything possible to make him happy within those parameters.”
