Ray Wilkins believes that Manchester United will not complete the summer transfer of Radamel Falcao.
The Colombian international striker has failed to make an impact at Old Trafford this season after joining on a season-long loan and has scored just four goals in 20 games.
United have a buying option of £43m on the former Atletico Madrid striker but it remains to be seen if the Premier League side will complete the deal.
“Falcao has been struggling for goals,” he told talkSPORT. “He hasn’t shown any type of form that we expected when he arrived at Manchester United.
“His form has been very poor in fact, we haven’t seen anything like the player who destroyed Chelsea with Atletico Madrid a few years ago.
“They have already paid a huge loan fee and his wages are extremely expensive. To take him on would require a big fee, I would think they will look elsewhere.”
