Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that new signing Krystian Bielik will not make his senior debut this season.

The youngster joined the North London club in January for a transfer fee of £2m after the 17-year-old was heavily liked with Arsenal after being scouted on numerous occasions.

Bielik made his first appearance in an Arsenal shirt for their Under-18 side against Norwich City, but is yet to feature for the senior side, despite training with them on a daily basis.

However, despite having impressed, Wenger has revealed that it is doubtful that he will make his debut this season.

“He’ll play for the Under-18s tomorrow [against Leicester City]. I don’t think he will make his first-team debut this season,” he told reporters.

Bielik joined the Gunners from Polish outfit Legia Warsaw.
