Arsenal fans have been vocal on social media site Twitter in their response to Wednesday’s defeat to Monaco, calling for Arsene Wenger to be sacked.
Goals from Geoffrey Kondogbia, Dimitar Berbatov and Ferreira Carrasco gave Monaco a 3-1 win over Arsenal at Emirates stadium on Wednesday evening and Arsenal boss Wenger has been hit with fierce criticism since.
Many are blaming the Frenchman for being too naive in his respect towards the Ligue 1 side, and are now growing impatient with his lack of success, winning just one trophy in the last nine seasons.
And, that criticism and blame has been followed be endless tweets on Wenger’s future at the club.
Here are just some of those:
YOUUUUUUU ARE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE @Arsenal If you had any respect for the fans you would sack Wenger in the morning. He has killed us.

Arsene Wenger luckiest man in sport right now. Not sure there is any argument left to suggest why he shouldn’t be sacked.

Arsene Wenger still won’t be sacked after this. How does he survive all these failures after failures? Unbelievable. @piersmorgan

Famous Arsenal fan Piers Morgan was also vocal in his opinion of Wenger, tweeting for his sacking.
Has Wenger resigned yet? If not, why not? Last night was the nadir of all nadirs. #afc
