Newcastle United winger Jonas Gutierrez has been given the all-clear after receiving cancer treatment.
The Argentine winger was diagnosed with testicular cancer earlier this year and has been undergoing treatment in his native country.
The 31-year-old was forced to have his left testicle removed and has undergone chemotherapy treatment.
“Today I was given a medical discharge. Thank you very much to all who accompanied me at this time, especially my family, my parents, brothers, godmother and friends,” Gutierrez announced on Twitter.
Gutierrez has has made over 170 appearances for Newcastle since arriving at the club in 2008.
