Inter Milan have completed the signing of Gary Medel from Cardiff City.
The Chilean midfielder had an impressive World Cup campaign with his country to put relegation with Cardiff City from the Premier League behind him this summer.
And, his impressive performances saw the likes of AC Milan, Juventus and Inter Milan all linked and it is understood that the latter have now agreed a deal worth around a total fee of £7m.
The Welsh side were initially unhappy with the amount that Inter had first offered but with their need to bolster their side ahead of a Championship campaign next season, they saw fit to sell the former Sevilla man for a smaller fee.
Medel will link up with his new team-mates in the coming days and is expected to play in a similar role as he does for the Chilean national team, where he operates at centre-back and in central midfield.
