AC Milan have announced that Roma attacker Mattia Destro has accepted their offer to join the club on loan until the end of the season.
The Italian striker had been extremely close to joining Arsenal with his agent having flown into London for contract talks last week.
The former Genoa striker found playing time hard to come by this season with Roma, having made just eight starts and seven substitution appearances, in which he found the back of the net five times.
The Rossoneri were desperate to improve their attacking options after a dreadful first half of the season and Destro has now been revealed as their latest signing.
Destro will link up with former Roma man Jeremy Menez and Giampaolo Pazzini as the Fillipo Inzaghi’s only striking options.
