Xavi calls for Cazorla and David Silva to join Barcelona

Xavi has heaped praise on Spanish duo David Silva and Santi Cazorla, admitting he would love them to join Barcelona.

The two midfielders have been in typically consistent form this season for both Manchester City and Arsenal, respectively Barcelona’s highest appearance holder believes both would fit in well at Camp Nou.

When asked who he would like to sign for Barcelona, Xavi told AS: “Silva [and] Cazorla… there is some great current talent in Spanish football who I’d sign for Barcelona.”

Xavi and City midfielder Silva will face off in February in the Champions League and the 34-year-old believes that the two-legged tie will be ‘difficult’.

He added: “All the ties are complicated; our matches against Manchester City will be very difficult.”

Silva is contracted wtih City until 2017 while Cazorla penned a new long-term deal at Arsenal last season.
