Aguero could be fit to face Arsenal & Chelsea

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has claimed that Sergio Aguero could make a return from his knee ligament injury against Arsenal in January.

The Argentine forward limped off as Cty beat Everton two weeks ago and has since been ruled out for six weeks with the ligament damage.

However, Chilean coach Pellegrini has now said that he could return sooner than later, giving City a boost ahead of some important games in January, with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea coming up.

“Sergio has a torn ligament and I think it will be long before that tie, probably in the first weeks of January, that he will play,” Pellegrini told reporters.

City currently sit three points behind Chelsea in second place in the Premier League.
