Robin van Persie is ready to quit Manchester United and make a fresh start with Inter Milan in Italy.
Numerous reports across English press claim that Van Persie’s position in the United starting eleven is under threat of late with boss Louis van Gaal worried by his lack of goals.
And, with Inter Milan interest of the past couple of days, it is understood that the Dutch captain is now mulling over a move to Serie A.
Van Persie is due to receive a £10m bonus should he see out the remainder of his contract with Man United, but would also reap the benefits of a move to Inter, of whom, would be willing to pay a significant amount for the former Arsenal man.
New Inter boss Roberto Mancini is desperate to add some fire power to his side and believes Van Persie would suit the Italian league.
Van Persie has scored just three goals this season and is far from his best form.
