Saido hopes Hodgson Sai’s yes to debut

Roy Hodgson looks set to hand Saido Berahino his first England cap when his side face Scotland on Tuesday night.

The West Bromwich Albion forward has been in irresistible form in the Premier League, netting seven goals including a solo effort against Manchester United.

This has led to Hodgson selecting Berahino as one of four strikers.

Captain Wayne Rooney will almost certainly keep his place, which means it is either Berahino or Rickie Lambert replacing match-winner Danny Welbeck up-front.

The 21-year old knows he has time on his side but will be itching to make his debut against the Auld Enemy at Celtic Park.

Hodgson has vowed to give some of the younger players a chance in the friendly, with Luke Shaw and Calum Chambers confident of making the eleven.

Nathaniel Clyne will be hoping to keep his place at right-back following a confident debut at Wembley on Saturday.

One selection headache for the Three Lions boss is who to start in goal.

Joe Hart has been rested and is back training with Manchester City, leaving Ben Foster and Fraser Forster to fight it out for a starting berth.

Forster, in fine form for Southampton and returning to Celtic Park for the first time since his move down south, will be confident of earning his third cap.
