Real Sociedad prefer Mel over former Man United boss

Real Sociedad are reportedly set to appoint Pepe Mel as their new boss after being unable to pay David Moyes his wage demands.

Jagoba Arrasate was relieved of his duties last week after a dismal start to the new season which has seen the Basque side tinkering near the relegation zone.

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes had been very much high on the list of potential candidates but it is now reported that the Scottish coach demanding too much money.

Several reports now claim that Sociedad have turned their attention to former West Bromwich Albion boss Pepe Mel, who is available.

Both Sociedad and the agent of Mel are working on an agreement which could see the Spaniard announced as boss on Tuesday.
