News filtered through to Stamford Bridge this week regarding Paul Pogba’s new contract at Juventus and Arsenal’s movements for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.
And, it has led Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to indicate a new midfielder to their shortlist of potential signings.
Gianelli Imbula has been heavily impressing at Marseille this season and has gained the plaudits of numerous big spending European clubs.
The 22-year-old is highly rated by Mourinho, who is keen to replace the likes of John-Obi Mikel in his starting line-up for next season.
