Mourinho: Diego Costa could face Man United

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that Diego Costa has ‘a little chance’ of facing Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Spanish international has been considered a major doubt for Sunday’s massive Premier League clash, but Mourinho now claims that the former Atletico Madrid man could play a small part in the game.

“He had to go to hospital with a viral situation, to spend one night, before Maribor,” Mourinho told reporters. “The problem is being ill didn’t help his recovery process, because we couldn’t have him here at Cobham.

“Diego Costa has a chance, a little chance. [Loic] Remy has no chance. [He is] the only one I can confirm has no chance.”

Mourinhp was then questioned about his past relationship with United boss Louis van Gaal, whom he worked under at Barcelona, before commenting on a former player – Angel di Maria.

“I never hide the fact that he was an important influence in my career but this weekend he is my opponent, so please do not make me speak about him for half an hour.

“The world knows what I think about him because I never hide, so what can I add?”
