Lukas Podolski insists “hell will freeze over” before is forced to leave Arsenal for bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The German winger has been strongly linked with a January move after confirming his unhappiness at the Emirates stadium last week.
A whole host of clubs across Europe have maintained interest with Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund being linked, whilst Spurs have also been linked with a shock move.
However, the former Bayern Munich man has reacted to a tweet by the BBC Sport official account which claimed he was ready for a £10m move to Arsenal’s North London rivals.
“@BBCSport @Arsenal Hell will freeze over before this transfer would happen. #Poldi #aha #AlwaysAGunner #NeverCheatYourClub #AFC #Redarmy,” he wrote on Twitter.
A total of five players have made the move over history, with William Gallas being the most recent in 2010.
