Football Express News understands that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is looking to make Douglas Costa his final signing of the summer.
Arsene Wenger has already made signings this summer which he hopes will bolster his options ahead of a title challenge, completing deals for Alexis Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers so far this summer.
And, it is understood that Wenger is keen to make a second move for Douglas Costa of Shakhtar Donetsk after failing to sign the Brazilian in 2011.
Costa is currently refusing to return to Ukraine due to the political unrest in the country and is keen to find a new club.
According to several reports in English media, Wenger is keen to pay around £16m for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder, who he believes will add an extra dimension to his attack.
Meanwhile, the likes of Thomas Vermaelen, Nacho Monreal and Carl Jenkinson are expected to leave the club this summer.
