Arsenal complete signing of Colombian keeper Ospina

Arsenal have completed the signing of Colombian keeper David Ospina from Nice.

Ospina was one of the stand out performers at the World Cup in Brazil this summer and will now join up with his new side in their upcoming tour of the United States.

The North London club will unveil the keeper towards the end of the week after completed some final formalities towards his arrival from French club Nice.

The Colombian shot-stopper will put pen-to-paper on a four year deal worth a reported £60,000 per week and provide competition for the number one spot at the Emirates this coming season.

The signing of Ospina is Arsenal’s third of the summer, after boss Arsene Wenger already splashed the cash on Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona and Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United.

The Gunners have been linked with more players in recent weeks and it is understood that Wenger is still keen to add an extra striker to his ranks, after seemingly missing out on Loic Remy, who looks set to pen a deal with Liverpool in the coming days.
