Dutch goalkeeper confirms move to Spurs

Vorm

A move to Tottenham Hotspur is imminent for Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm, with the player having agreed terms with the club and confirmed the move himself via Dutch news outlet De Telegraaf.

The 30-year-old Swans stopper, who is also a Netherlands international, has agreed a five-year deal with the north London side which will see him play at White Hart Lane under new boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The Dutchman is set to rival new team-mate Hugo Lloris for the number one spot and told De Telegraf that the club’s philosophy is to have two top players for every position.

“Every top club has two top goalkeepers in their squad,” he said.

“It suits the club’s philosophy that there is broad selection (of players). Especially when we see that Tottenham is active in a lot of competitions.”

Vorm spent three years in Wales and is one of three players who have been tipped to progress to higher ranks this summer following strong Premier League performances last season.

Defender Ben Davies is also in line for a move to Tottenham, along with striker Wilfried Bony, who is not only popular at Spurs, but also features high on the seemingly comprehensive summer shopping list of Liverpool, Football Express News understands.
