Keylor Navas will decide on his future this week, according to the player’s official website.

The Costa Rica and Levante UD number one is in high demand after a string of fine performances helped catapult his country in to the quarter finals of this summer’s World Cup.

According to sources in Spain and Germany, Levante vice-president Tomas Perez claimed that Navas put pen to paper on a deal with German giants Bayern Munich for a fee of £8million, but both the player and Bayern have since denied this.

Since then, Levante president Quico Catalan has reiterated earlier claims, by insisting that the player won’t leave for anything less than the release clause in his contract which stands at £6.5m, despite the shot-stopper only having one year left on his less lucrative arrangement.

The former Albacete man saved 21 out of 23 shots (91%) that he faced at the World Cup which came hot on the heels of a memorable domestic season for Levante UD, in which he made more saves (160) than any other goalkeeper in La Liga.

Despite the rumoured agreement with Bayern the 27 year old isn’t short of suitors with reported interest from a number of other top teams in Europe including Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Liverpool.
