Man United to follow Ramos bid with move for Everton full-back

Manchester United will follow up their recent bid for Sergio Ramos with a move for Everton defender Seamus Coleman, Football Express News understands.

An improved second bid from United has been submitted to Madrid in the past 24 hours, prompting the Spanish international to inform the La Liga side of his ambitions to leave and join the Old Trafford side this summer.

Louis van Gaal is extremely keen to improve his defensive options this summer and make a title challenge next season.

Argentine defender Marcos Rojo is fully expected to play a big part, whilst the Dutch boss wants Ramos to play at centre-back and Everton defender Coleman to play at right back.

A move is now said to be set for later this week, once an answer is received from Real Madrid on the availability and price of Ramos.

United are believed to have prepared a bid of £15m for the Republic of Ireland defender, however, Everton are refusing to sell at the present time.
