Links between United and Real Madrid have been ever present in the past few months as a number of players have been linked with a move between the two.

David De Gea is the most mentioned player to be linked with a move as the Spanishgiants continue to make him their number one target and top replacement for Iker Casillas.

As pace is gathering between Madrid and United officials over a potential move, Sergio Ramos’ future is being heavily discussed, leading to links with a move to Old Trafford.

The Spanish international is said to have become unhappy with the appointment of Rafael Benitez at the Santiago Bernabeu and wants to leave this summer.

United are keen and reports claim they have told Madrid that De Gea can leave if Ramos is included in such a deal.

Sergio Ramos’s agent met with Manchester United in London two months ago and the centre-back is already learning English, according to reports.

And, it is being reported that a new £42.5m offer has been made by the English club to Madrid officials on Saturday.
