West Ham United will make a solid move for Loic Remy once they have signed Alex Song from Barcelona, according to reports.

The French striker is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after Jose Mourinho made calls to freshen up his strike force.

The former Marseille goalscorer has been linked with a return to Ligue 1 but also to a number of Premier League sides, such as Crystal Palace and Swansea.

Palace boss Alan Pardew and Remy worked together whilst at Newcastle United and it is understood that the Selhurst Park side are favourites to sign the striker, however, another interested side in West Ham United are now reported to be closing in a summer bid.

Remy netted an impressive seven Premier League goals for Chelsea in a short amount of game time and played an important part in their title success.

It is understood that the Blues will be looking for a transfer fee of around £10m for the French international.
