Everton are monitoring Adnan Januzaj’s situation at Manchester United and are weighing up a loan move for the winger, according to Liverpool Echo.

The Belgian international was tipped to go on and become one of European football’s star players this season but his plight under Van Gaal last season raised eyebrows and has caused Old Trafford bosses to think again about his development and involvement in the side.

Januzaj failed to score or assist a goal last season and it is firmly expected that he will leave the club this summer, with a whole host of Premier League sides interested.

Everton have been extremely keen, with Toffees boss Roberto Martinez keen to sign the Belgian and link him with international team-mates Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Miralles.

Paris Saint Germain have also been interested in the 19-year-old but it is understood a deal is close to being agreed agreed by all parties.
