Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has made Gonzalo Higuain his top transfer target, according to various reports in English and Italian press.
The Argentine striker is expected to call time on his career with Italian side Napoli this summer after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
Higuain has been in sublime form for the Serie A outfit, continuing the same goalscoring exploits that made him a success with Spanish side Real Madrid.
His desire to play in the Champions League nexct season has seen a number of Premier League sides interested, whilst Paris Saint Germain have also been linked.
Chelsea boss Mourinho has worked with the Argentine international previous with Madrid and is keen to partner him up front with Radamel Falcao, who they are trying to secure a loan move for this summer.
