Barcelona winger Pedro ends Arsenal & Man United speculation

Barcelona have agreed a new contract with Pedro Rodriguez, ended talks of a potential move to England this summer.

The 27-year-old has struggled for playing time this season, due to the impressive form of Luis Suarez and Neymar, who operate in a front three with Lionel Messi.

Links to Arsenal and Liverpool have been present in both English and Spanish media, but such talk has now been ended with the Spanish international signing a new deal with Barca.

The new deal will see the Tenerife born winger remain at the club until 2019 and install a minimum release clause of £110m.

Pedro has won five Liga titles with Barcelona so far, while also lifting the Champions League and Club World Cup twice each, during which he became the first player ever to score in six different competitions in a season.

The winger has netted 11 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions this season.
