Manchester United and Chelsea have become buoyed as Pep Guardiola indicated a number of replacements for Bastian Schweinsteiger, Football Express News understands.

Talks over a new contract for the German International have slowed down between Bayern and the midfielder, subsequently alerting United and Chelsea.

The 30-year-old has been at Bayern Munich since 2002, and has accumulated over 325 appearances for the German giants, and it’d certainly be a significant change in his life if he were to move to the Premier League.

And, that move is now seeming more and more likely as Bayern boss Guardiola looks to find a suitable replacement.

Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets has been linked, however, a recent new deal with the Catalans make that interest seem false.

Various other targets have been short-listed by the Catalan coach, who is keen to freshen up his side and push for a Champions League final place next season.
