Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas has stated Liverpool have not made any move for his star striker Alexandre Lacazette and even if they were interested would have no chance as they are not in the Champions League.

Lacazette, who is 24-years-old, was top scorer in Ligue 1 last season with 27 goals, has been monitored by a number of Premier League clubs, including the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal.

His form with the Ligue 1 side has been impressive, sparking debate whether or not he would commit his future to them or look to move on this summer.

Lyon, who have qualified for the Champions League themselves, are not looking to sell their star striker, and have been quoted as saying their striker is priceless.

However, Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint Germain are reported to have made a £35m bid for the striker. Arsenal and Chelsea also seem serious with their interest, but Liverpool have seemingly been told by the French club that due their failure to qualify for the Champions League – a move is off the cards.

Writers View – When I saw a report stating Liverpool wanted Lacazette I thought no chance for the main reasons as per the above article. However I am not surprised the top 4 finishers in the premiership would be looking at this player, who looks a class act.
